
Ms. Higgins joined George Smith Partners in mid-2004. Ms. Higgins began her finance career at Goldman Sachs in their New York Prime Brokerage Group prior to returning to school to pursue her M.B.A. While a full-time graduate student, she founded Affordable California, a development firm focused on bringing quality, affordable housing to families in the greatest need. The firm acquired a parcel in Downtown Los Angeles where she spearheaded the ground-up development of a 22-unit apartment project, financed through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program.
Ms. Higgins earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 2004 and her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1999.
