Saman Yazdi

Mr. Yazdi is a seasoned real estate private equity professional with extensive experience in acquisitions, development, asset management, and structured finance. As Vice President at George Smith Partners, he specializes in structuring and executing complex debt and equity transactions across various asset classes, leveraging his deep expertise in capital markets and investment strategies.

Prior to rejoining George Smith Partners, Saman was the Principal & Co-Founder of Lighthouse Capital Partners (LCP), where he led the firm’s real estate investment strategies, focusing on value-add and opportunistic investments in luxury residential and multifamily properties across Southern California. He also served as Chief Investment Officer at Infinity9 Investment Group, a real estate private equity investment management firm serving international investors in Latin America and the Middle East. At Infinity9, he spearheaded the firm’s strategic shift from equity to real estate private credit, overseeing deal origination, capital raising, and portfolio management. He underwrote over $10 billion in potential investments across multifamily, hospitality, industrial, and net lease retail sectors, structuring complex capital stacks incorporating senior, mezzanine, and preferred equity. Under his leadership, Infinity9 consistently achieved mid-teens returns on structured credit investments and helped expand its assets under management from zero to $20 million by leveraging an extensive capital network and strategic partnerships. Earlier in his career, Saman was a Vice President at George Smith Partners, where he structured and underwrote over $7 billion in debt and equity transactions. He also worked as an Acquisitions Analyst at The Bascom Group, contributing to over $4 billion in multifamily acquisitions across the Western U.S.

With a Master of Science in Real Estate Finance from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University, Saman brings a strategic, results-driven approach to real estate investment and capital markets.
