Ken Vyhmeister, CPA, MST, formerly Associate Vice President for Financial Administration and Controller for Walla Walla University for 16 years, where he also taught Management, Ethics and Auditing. Prior to that he worked for 11 years as Corporate Controller for Bren Investments, the holding company of billionaire real estate developer, Donald Bren in Newport Beach, CA. Ken has worked for two fortune 500 companies, Shearson Mortgage and Fluor Corporation in Irvine, CA, as well as five years as an auditor at Price Waterhouse and two years as a manager in Ernst & Young’s Real Estate Group in Irvine, CA. Ken is married to Carmen Ehlers, a physician, and they have five children and four grandchildren. Ken holds an active California CPA license and a Master’s Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Ken was recently reappointed by Governor Jay Inslee of Washington to serve a second term on the board of the WA Tobacco Settlement Authority.
