Grant Pugatch

Grant Pugatch joined George Smith Partners in the fall of 2022, where he plays a key role in supporting capital placement across a wide range of commercial real estate transactions nationwide. His responsibilities include investment underwriting, capital markets research, and managing ongoing relationships with both clients and capital providers. During his time at the firm, Grant has worked on financings across the capital stack—including first mortgages, mezzanine debt, preferred equity, and joint venture equity—crafting tailored capital solutions to meet the specific needs of each deal. His experience spans a diverse mix of asset classes, including multifamily, industrial, retail, hospitality, office, and mixed-use properties, giving him a well-rounded perspective on the ever-evolving real estate landscape.

Prior to joining George Smith Partners, Grant worked in private wealth management at Alex. Brown, the high net-worth group within Raymond James. His team was responsible for managing over $2.5B in assets and he worked closely with high net-worth individuals constructing holistic portfolios on a day-to-day basis. Grant received his B.S. in Environmental Economics & Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a member of the UC Berkeley Men’s Volleyball Team and a founding member of Sports ‘4’ Kids, a mentoring program for underprivileged children in Cragmont Elementary’s afterschool program.
