Corey Chisnell is a Senior Director at George Smith Partners, where he specializes in capital markets advisory, debt and equity placement, institutional fundraising, and strategic financing solutions across commercial real estate asset classes. With more than 25 years of experience in real estate finance, investment banking, and capital raising, Corey has built a reputation for creating innovative capital solutions and fostering long-term relationships with investors, developers, and owners nationwide.
Throughout his career, Corey has successfully sourced and structured debt and equity investments across multifamily, industrial, office, retail, hospitality, self storage, and specialty real estate sectors. His expertise spans institutional capital formation, investor relations, joint venture structuring, and execution of complex transactions for public, private, and institutional clients.
Prior to joining George Smith Partners, Corey held senior leadership positions at Artis Capital, BMO Capital Markets, Legg Mason, among others, focused on capital markets, fundraising, and business development, where he partnered with sponsors and investors to identify opportunities, optimize capital structures, and achieve strategic growth objectives. His deep understanding of market dynamics, lender and investor requirements, and transaction execution enables him to deliver customized solutions that help clients achieve their investment goals.
Corey received his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BBA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He is a member of the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association (WREAA).
