Shahin Yazdi

Principal/Managing Director

Shahin Yazdi is a Principal/Managing Director of George Smith Partners. Mr. Yazdi has an extensive background in securing complex financing across all product types and asset classes.  He specializes in structured financing for commercial real estate value-add, core and opportunistic projects.

Mr. Yazdi joined George Smith Partners in 2007 and has closed over $1 billion in financing. In 2009, at the height of the recent economic down turn, he played an instrumental role in establishing George Smith Partners advisory services arm to assist borrowers and lenders with troubled loans and distressed assets.

Prior to GSP, Mr. Yazdi worked at a major commercial bank, which gave him first-hand experience understanding the intricacies of the banking system.

Currently, he is an active Real Estate Investor and is involved with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP), CoreNet Global, and the Beverly Hills Law Association. Mr. Yazdi is also committed to charitable and civic work, with strong involvement in the Jewish Big Brother organization and the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles.

Mr. Yazdi possesses a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and son.
