Gary Mozer is a Principal/Managing Director of George Smith Partners, a leading national real estate investment banking firm.  He has arranged in excess of $30 billion of debt and equity financing for a broad array of real estate transactions. Appointed CEO in 1999, Gary has consistently ranked as GSP’s largest individual producer, placing up to $2 billion annually.  He most frequently works in retail, multi-family, office, and industrial products, but is also an accomplished financier of hotels, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, marinas, RV parks, and self-storage sites.  His team at GSP is recognized for expertise in structuring complex transactions, mezzanine and equity.

Gary is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), where he participated as a faculty member of ICSC’s University of Shopping Centers. Gary is a former President of the Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives (ACRE) and is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) as well as the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP).  Gary also sits on the Board of Governors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and is involved in the Defense Orientation Conference Association, the Navy League and is active in a number of other charitable organizations.  Gary has been a member of YPO since 1999, and served in various offices/positions prior to taking on the Real Estate Industry Network’s Past Chair and Regional Chair—Pacific US in 2016.  He is also a member of the Chief Executive Organization (CEO).

Gary holds two graduate degrees from the University of Wisconsin: a Masters of Real Estate and a Masters of Finance. His undergraduate education took place at the University of Michigan, where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics. Gary has remained involved with both Alumni associations.

Gary has two children, Phillip and Joan. He is a photographer, an avid collector of fine watches, and enjoys a variety of recreational activities, including travel and racing sailboats.
